The Alfa 75TURBO!
After all, while I was surfin' on the net, I found an '86 Alfa 75TURBO. I immediately contacted the salesman, and went to him to have a look at it. The engine was fine, and the price was right, so I bought it.

The car was actually to good to use as a donor...
As you can see, the car was actually lookin' quite good, and I was in doubt wether to rip it or not.

In doubt...
When I bought the car, I was in doubt. It was a still a nice car to see, and it was runnin' very fine. The suspension was excellent, it was equipped with yellow Koni's, and Zender 15" alloys.
It was actually to good to use for parts. Anyway, I already had another 75 for daily use, and I could use all the parts I didn't need for the Alfetta, as spare part for the other 75, so I decided to start disassembling the car.

The job
Before I took out the engine of the 75, I labeled all connections, to be sure to easily reinstall it in the Alfetta again. I studied the schematic wiring diagrams of the car, and simply marked all the connections I needed to make.
It sure was usefull, when I connected the engine at a later stadium into my Alfetta, I didn't make any connection too much or too less.
After all, there is ofcourse some difference in wirings between the Alfetta and the 75 turbo.
For example: the main relay(delivering power to the electric fuel pumps, the fuel injectors and both the ECU's), the alternator(the alternator from the Alfetta had his rectifier separate) and so on.
Converting an Alfetta 1.6GT, into an 1.8TURBO.

What it all was about..
This is what it all was about: 4 cylinders, 1.8 litre, fuel injection, double over head camshafts, turbocharger... (Hmmm... anyone of you seen the movie: "Gone In 60 Seconds"?, Yes, I mean the scene with Angelina jolie and Nicholas Cage, sitting in a car, waiting to steal the Lamborghini)
Delivering no less then 155bhp... It all looks a bit like a mess, but before actually fitting it into my Alfetta, the whole thing would be cleaned up again.

Too soon?
Maybe I disassembled it too soon, because when I finished the job, my daily driven 75 was hit by another car, it crashed on my tail, doin' 60 km/h, while I was waiting for a red traffic-light. The daily driven 75 was lost, and the 75 turbo was ripped..
If I started later, or got the accident earlier, I probably wouldn't have ripped the car at all.
